OK I give up. How on earth do you port 2k4 maps into the new editor? I wanna re make some of my old maps. I'm also trying to get the hang of the new editor. It's so completely different! Is there a way to scale bps like we used to in the old editor?

It's probably not helping that I have a high fever and I just drank some Rum.

This is the map I wanna re make https://youtu.be/i2xeX-rWxXI

I don't think that it is possible to import 2k4 to ut4!

...your best bet is to start -----> HERE!

Yes it is because I've done it! :D yey! Now I just have to work out the right scaling.

MoxNix from the UT forum sent me this.

    use these two tools

    https://ut.rushbase.net/raxxy/maps

There's a text file there explaining what to do.

The process is the same for converting 2k4 maps as for 99 maps except you want to use a different scale. I'd recommend 1.5625 scale for 2k4 maps and 2.5 for 99 maps.

I think I finally got the scale right. I used 1.8681

But because of the lack of the double jump, some of the slope jumps no longer work. I'm gonna have to try work around that, or try and re size the slops if I can.

Next need to find all the textures and work out how to do the lighting. I will see if any of the tut vids go over it.

You can export textures from 2k4 :icon_biggrin:

you know ppl will make the mutators for the game to feel like old times!

.... all that too much work for me! ...I would rather start over and learn the editor in the process!

Keep us posted on the progress!

I'm still having to learn everything about the editor as I'm adding extra stuff, making more map flow and so on. I'm gonna try a whole new look on this re make, rather than use the same old textures. It will still need an arty person to make the meshes once it's all done and ready for the visuals. I'm trying to make something good enough for competitive players to enjoy. Once the basic map is all finished, u guys are more than welcome to give it a blast and see how it plays.

One big problem with imports. Everything is off the grid. I'm trying to work out a quick fix.
